Mr. Anthony M. Pavio Sr., 86, of 138 Francis Street, Waterbury, died Sunday March 7, 2010, at St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness. He was the widower of Carmella "Millie" (DelGobbo) Pavio.
Tony was born in Waterbury on February 6, 1924, son of the late Frank and Angelina (Zerrillo) Pavio. He graduated from Leavenworth High School. He was an US Army Veteran of World War II having received many medals including the Bronze Star. He earned an Associates Degree in Accounting from Post University. He worked as an accountant for Anaconda American Brass/Atlantic Ridgefield for 37 years retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Oakville VFW Post 7330 and a former member of the Waterbury Elks Lodge # 265. He was a manager of Anaconda Federal Credit Union and an officer for the ARCO Retiree's Association. Tony had an artistic talent for woodworking having made many toys, ornaments, and household decorations. He was a very devoted family man and enjoyed crossword puzzles. He was a long time communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.
He leaves two sons, Dr. Anthony M. Pavio Jr. and his wife Jeanne of Paradise Valley, AZ, and Raymond T. Pavio and his wife Karin of Lexington, MA; a daughter, Judith P. Anderson and her husband Robert of Plainville; a sister Anna Vezina of Bridgeport; three sister's in law, Jenny Pavio of Waterbury, Leonora Gryniuk and her husband Stanley of Southington, and Julie DelGobbo of Waterbury; a brother in law, Richard DelGobbo and his wife Claudia of Waterbury; 4 grandchildren, Laynie Pavio of Woodside, CA, Alyson, Michael, and Marissa Pavio of Lexington, MA and several nieces and nephews. A brother Romeo Pavio is deceased.
Arrangements: Military funeral Thursday 8:30 AM from Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway Waterbury to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church for a Mass at 9:30 AM. Burial: New Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling hours Wednesday 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to American Disabled Veteran Association 555 Willard Avenue Newington, CT 06111.

Mrs. Annie (Echols) Washington, 100, of Waterbury passed away on Thursday March 4, 2010 at Abbott Terrace Health Care Center. She was the widow of Willie Washington
Annie was born in Tuskegee, AL on September 29, 1909 daughter of the late Willie L. Echols. She came to Waterbury in 1951 and was employed at Scovill's Manufacturing Co. and later on at Southbury Training School for many years until her retirement. Her hobbies included fishing and gardening.
She leaves a daughter, Dorothy Woods of Waterbury, two brothers, Charles Echols of Meriden and Roosevelt Hughley of FL, eleven grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and twenty one great great grandchildren.
Arrangements: Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at Mt. Olive AME Zion Church, 82-100 Pearl St. Waterbury. Burial will follow at New Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling hour Thursday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the Church. Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury is in charge of arrangements.

Allen M. Watson Sr.

Mr. Allen Matthew Watson Sr., 52 of Woodbury passed away Friday March 5, 2010 at his home. He was the husband of Kathleen (Reardon) Watson.
Allen was born in New Haven, CT on April 26, 1957 son of Lorraine (Cusson) Watson and the late Albert Watson. He was employed at various companies as a Toolmaker for many years until his retirement. He was a Vietnam Army Veteran and a member of Calvary Fellowship in Southbury.
Enjoyment of life to Al included playing the drums (Especially for the Worship Team), a passion for music and riding care free on his motorcycle.
Besides his mother and his wife he leaves a son Allen M. Watson Jr. and his wife Savannah of Lynchburg, VA, two daughters, Christina (Watson) Emanuel and her husband Jacob of Wolcott and Sarah Watson of Woodbury, a brother Keith Watson of Seymour, two sisters, Pat Edgerson of Holyoke, MA and Donna Callahan of Venice, FL and five grandchildren, Angelina Emanuel, Liliana Emanuel, Alycia Watson, Allen Watson III and Evan Watson.
Arrangements: A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 6:30 PM at Calvary Fellowship, 134 Main St. South, Southbury, CT 06488. There are no calling hours. Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway,Waterbury has been entrusted with the arrangements.
