Grave Marker
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) furnishes upon request, at no charge
to the applicant, a Government headstone or marker to mark the "unmarked grave"
of an eligible veteran in any cemetery. We're here for you . . . Our staff will
assist you in determining eligibility and file applications, if qualified, on your
behalf.
Burial Allowance
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) offers "Burial Allowance," an amount
towards the expenses of the funeral and burial of eligible veteran's remains.

State Veterans' Cemetery
The State of Connecticut's Veteran Cemetery is located in Middletown, and is the
third and largest State-operated veterans' cemetery in the State.
All wartime veterans released from the armed forces under honorable conditions
who either entered the service as a resident of the state of Connecticut or died as a
resident of the state of Connecticut and their spouses are eligible for burial.
